Our private, appointment-only salon was created for guests who value a calm atmosphere, consistent care and a more personal experience. Quality is prioritized over volume, allowing each appointment to feel considered from the consultation through to the finished result.

We are currently looking for an experienced hairstylist who would like to build or rebuild a clientele within an established salon in downtown Port Hope.

Walton & Pine offers a quiet, focused alternative to a traditional, fast-paced salon floor.

Our structure supports attentive consultations, thoughtfully scheduled appointments and meaningful client relationships. The salon serves women exclusively, with services centred on women’s cutting, grey coverage, dimensional colour, blonding and wearable everyday hair.

Because the styling space is shared, the opportunity begins with two consistent working days each week. There is room to add a third day as the stylist’s clientele grows. Some flexibility is available within an agreed schedule, and planned time off can be accommodated with clear communication and appropriate notice.

This opportunity is best suited to an experienced hairstylist who:

• Has several years of professional hairstyling experience
• Is technically confident and able to work independently
• Is experienced in women’s cutting, colour and styling
• Provides thorough consultations and thoughtful recommendations
• Values professionalism, consistency and attention to detail
• Prefers a calm, private environment over a high-volume salon floor
• Communicates clearly about pricing, maintenance and expectations
• Is dependable, organized and respectful of shared spaces
• Wants to build lasting relationships with clients
• Is interested in finding a genuine, long-term professional home

The ideal candidate may be new to the area, returning to the industry or looking to rebuild their clientele in a more intentional setting. An established clientele is welcome but is not required.

The opportunity includes:

• 50% commission on services
• 8% commission on retail sales
• 100% of gratuities
• Professional colour, backbar products and salon supplies
• Laundry and cleaning support
• Phorest booking and client-management software
• Salon marketing and brand support
• Referrals and opportunities to grow within an established business

Service pricing will be established according to the stylist’s experience, skill level and existing pricing, while remaining consistent with the overall Walton & Pine service structure.
